2007-05-26/27-DOFUS team will be at the London Expo

The Ankama Team goes to the United Kingdom to promote the game and the manga DOFUS at the MCM London Expo.

In four years time, 3 million persons registered, 200,000 players subscribed, and an ongoing series of 5 volumes of a manga has been created … The game DOFUS is now in English and makes its debut in London after particularly good articles were published in the specialized magazine EDGE and on the reference website Eurogamer.net.

On this occasion and for the London Expo, Ankama Editions published 5,000 copies of the first volume of its wacky heroic-fantasy manga inspired from the game DOFUS.

This English publication comes along with the creation of a UK dedicated game server for the English community – on top of the two already existing international servers.

The creation of this UK dedicated game server aims at creating a UK community as dynamic as the French one back when it started, as well as increasing the number of players on this steady basis.

With a 30-square meter stand in the image of DOFUS, Ankama will present its game to the general public and to professionals as well as the first volume of its manga, and the DOFUS Artbook session 2.

There’s more to this event than the simple launch of the game and the manga in the United Kingdom. Indeed, it will be a great opportunity for Ankama to introduce itself to potential local or international partners to diffuse and distribute the manga to the English-speaking countries and beyond.
